The Message

Dear Friend,

We will all live forever.  Whether you believe it or not, you really will live forever.  First, we live in this life here on earth, then, when this body dies, we move on to our eternal life. This life doesn’t last very long, but it’s during this life that we need to decide where we are going in the next life. Tomorrow isn’t promised for any of us, so you need to decide today. The decision we all need to make is whether we will live forever in Heaven or Hell. (Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near)

Hell is real and I certainly do not want you to end up there! It is more terrible than we can imagine.  There is eternal fire, utter darkness, weeping and gnashing of teeth, and being cut to pieces. It is a place of punishment, everlasting destruction and complete alienation from God for all eternity.  It is a place of conscious, eternal torment with unending suffering and pain where there is no escape.  It is a place where God’s wrath will be poured out onto those who have sinned against Him and have not repented.  You do NOT want to go to Hell!

On the other hand, Heaven is a place where we will reside in real physical bodies, and where we will experience ultimate peace, everlasting joy, rewards and treasures, and live in the presence of God. There will be no evil, no pain, no suffering, no worry, no sickness, no crying, no pride, no insecurity, no jealousy, no discrimination, and a perfect relationship with God and all the fellow believers in Heaven with you.

We all break God’s law (the Ten Commandments) – that’s called sin. It is our sin that builds a wall too high to climb between us and God.  Our sin keeps us serving satan whether we have knowingly chosen that or not.  It dooms us to an eternity in Hell. The sentence for breaking God’s law is going to hell. Romans 6:23 says “for the wages of sin is death …. “, and friend, that’s where everyone is headed if they don’t repent. There is nothing that we can do to earn our way out of that reality.  We can’t just be better people or give to the poor or help old ladies or work at an animal shelter or…… All those things are good things, but they won’t earn you a place in Heaven.

This is why we all need a savior.  We need someone who can remove that wall of sin.  That’s who Jesus is. Romans 6:23 goes on to say, ”… but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Jesus stepped into the courtroom and paid your fine. Jesus took your sentence. It is a gift He willingly gives to us free of charge.  He is the only one who can remove that wall and give us complete access to God, but we need to ask Him to do it.  We need to acknowledge that our behaviors are against God and actually want to change.

We all serve a god, whether it is THE GOD or another god.  If you are not serving THE GOD in your daily life, then you are serving the enemy – the evil one – satan.  It’s one lane or the other.  You are either for Him or against Him. (“Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters” Luke 11:23, Matthew 12:30.)  The choice is yours. Time is running out.  Tomorrow is not guaranteed.  I pray that everyone reading this can feel God’s calling and choose Him as their Lord and Savior!

If this all makes sense and you believe that Jesus is Lord, then I encourage you to talk to God. Invite Him into your life.  God doesn’t just barge in uninvited.  You have to open the door and invite Him in.  Are you ready to do that?  Then pray with me.

God, I believe that You are the creator of everything.  I believe that You sent Your son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins.  I know I have sinned against You, and I am so sorry.  Please forgive me.  Please send Your Holy Spirit to be with me and guide me as I learn more about You and how to live a life that is pleasing to You.  In Jesus name I pray.  Amen.

Now, please open your new Bible and start learning about your Creator, your Savior, your Redeemer, your Most High God!
